Busch Gardens Announce Brand New Suspended Coaster coming in 2024

SeaWorld Parks announce another coasting opening next year

Exciting news for roller coaster fans! Busch Gardens in Tampa has announced a new suspended swinging roller coaster called Phoenix Rising. This ride is designed for families and will have onboard audio to make the experience even more immersive. The coaster will take you soaring above the Serengeti Plain starting in spring 2024.

This will be the 10th roller coaster in the park and the largest family-friendly addition to the Pantopia area. The ride cars will swing side to side as the coaster speeds along the track, giving riders a thrilling sensation. And, for the first time at Busch Gardens, an onboard soundtrack will make the experience even more exciting.

The coaster is made by Bolliger & Mabillard and will reach speeds of up to 44 miles per hour, covering a distance of 1,831 feet. Riders need to be at least 42 inches tall to ride. Busch Gardens already has another suspended roller coaster, Monty, but it's more thrilling and not as suitable for families.

"Phoenix Rising will be an extraordinary journey for our seasoned coaster enthusiasts and younger thrill-seekers alike," said Stewart Clark, president of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. "Joining a comprehensive coaster collection, this new attraction reinforces our commitment to providing guests with new, immersive and unique experiences."
