Rip Ride Rockit is heavily rumoured to be going in 2025
According to a recent update from Theme Park Stop on YouTube, rumours have been swirling about the possible closure of the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Orlando Resort. Initial speculation suggests the ride's potential closure could occur no earlier than mid-2025.

Rumours first surfaced in August 2023 when Universal reduced the song selection on the ride from 30 to just 5. This fuelled further speculation when the ride's official banner was not rehung following its removal due to a storm.

It is now being speculated that if the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is removed, it will be replaced by an Intamin steel launched spinning roller coaster, similar to the new Fast and Furious roller coaster currently under construction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

While Universal has not officially stated its intention to close the Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit in mid-2025, this news has prompted mixed reactions. Despite having its share of fans, the ride has experienced a decline in popularity in recent years, especially with the opening of more advanced thrill rides such as the VelociCoaster and Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure nearby.

Though the ride appears safe for now, fans may want to seize the opportunity to experience it on their next visit to Universal Orlando Resort, as the attraction's future remains uncertain.
