Is the Free Disney Dining Plan Coming Back for UK Travellers? Rumours Suggest Yes they are!

With US Disney+ Subscribers now Eligible for Free Disney Dining Plan, what about UK Residents

Could the FREE Disney Dining Plan be returning? If you believe the increasing speculation among travel agents across the UK now, the next big Disney Promotion may include this!

Last week, rumours intensified when Disney announced an exclusive offer for their US-based Disney+ subscribers. According to the offer, those who book a 4-night, 4-day hotel and ticket package at Walt Disney World between 1st July and 30th September 2024 will be eligible to receive complimentary dining for their entire stay.

It's worth noting that the timing of the offer is more than just coincidental. As of tomorrow, Disney's Dining Plan is officially returning, but not everyone is satisfied with the plan's cost. In addition, Disney is now offering heavily discounted Hotel and Ticket packages exclusively for US Residents, suggesting that the Hotels are less occupied than Disney had hoped for.

However, at the time of publishing no similar offer has been offered to UK Residents, however with the Spring offers around the corner this may change!

What is the Disney Dining Plan?

Disney offers the Disney Dining Plan to help guests plan their meals and make the most of their budget. However, it is essential to note that the Dining Plan is only available to those with Resort Packages. This means you must be staying at a Disney Resort and have park tickets linked to your stay.

The Disney Dining Plan offers credits per person per night, depending on your chosen plan. The Standard Dining Plan is the most expensive but offers the most varied menu choices. Each plan has its unique benefits and is designed to fit different budgets and dining preferences.

Quick Service Disney Dining Plan Credits (per person, per night):

  • 2 Quick Service Meals
  • 1 Snack

The Quick Service Disney Dining Plan for 2024 costs £47.99 per adult per day and £19.99 per child (ages 3 to 9) per day.

Standard Disney Dining Plan Credits (per person, per night):

  • 1 Table Service Meal
  • 1 Quick Service Meal
  • 1 Snack

The Standard Disney Dining Plan will cost £77.99 per adult per night (ages ten and up) and £24.99 per child per night (ages 3 to 9). This dining plan includes one table-service meal, one quick-service meal, and two snacks per person per night of your stay. However, it's worth mentioning that the cost of the Standard Disney Dining Plan has increased since its last availability in 2020 when it cost £62 per adult per night and £22 per child per night.

Disney's EPIC Problem

Disney has been slow in reacting to the EPIC problem over at Universal Orlando Resort. The hype surrounding EPIC Universe is growing as rides are being tested, and lands are beginning to rise. This is creating a challenge for Disney as there is nothing significant planned to open next year that can compete with its competitors. This situation may result in potential guests being drawn towards Universal Orlando Resort instead of Disney. So Disney has to reel these guests back; one hugely popular offer was the Free Disney Dining Plan.

Keep tuned in to us as we monitor the hype and nail down any rumours!!
