In celebration of the 30th anniversary of "The Lion King," Disney has exciting plans for its famous "Festival of the Lion King" show at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

Disney Parks Blog announced that the "Festival of the Lion King" show will feature enhanced interactivity with MagicBand+ technology as part of the anniversary festivities. This special feature is expected to bring an added layer of magic to the already beloved performance. The interactive experience, set to take place during this summer's celebration, will be available from June 10 to September 6. Guests wearing the MagicBand+ while watching the show can expect to see it "come to life with dancing lights and haptic vibrations during key moments throughout the show."

Accompanying the announcement was a preview of the MagicBand+ that will be utilized for this experience. The band seems to be a unique edition released in honour of the film's 30th anniversary. Notably, the MagicBand+ has yet to be made available at Disney Parks.

In addition to the interactive enhancements for the show, the 30th-anniversary celebration will also feature special meet-and-greet opportunities with Rafiki and Timon, exclusive menu items, Pandora jewellery charms, and commemorative merchandise.

Furthermore, "The Lion King" fans can look forward to the film's return to theatres next month, marking the 30th anniversary since its premiere. Originally debuting on the 12th of June 1994 at Radio City Music Hall, the iconic Walt Disney Animation Studios film saw a limited release in two theatres on June 15, followed by a wide release on June 24."
