Last week, we posted on our Facebook group that rumours were floating that Velocicoaster was to be opened up to the Express Pass system, and today we can confirm this is now the case.

From today, guests who have purchased or are entitled to Express Pass can now use them on the high-adrenaline coaster and skip the standby queue.

Guests can now enter the Standby Line, Single Rider line or Express Pass. 

Velocicoaster

VelociCoaster is a launched roller coaster at Universal's Islands of Adventure in Orlando, Florida. The attraction is Manufactured by Intamin and themed to the Jurassic World film franchise. The ride officially opened on the 10th of June 2021. The ride features two high-speed launches, a signature 155-foot-tall (47 m) top hat, four inversions, and a maximum speed of 70 mph (110 km/h).

Express Pass

Express Pass is a FastPass system used at Universal Orlando Resort that allows guests to bypass the regular standby queue lines. Guests can get Express passes via the following ways: 

Staying at an onsite hotel

Guests staying at a Premier Universal Orlando Hotel are entitled to Universal Express Unlimited Passes as one of the perks, and this is usually the most cost-effective way for families to obtain Express Passes.

Onsite hotels at Universal Orlando Resort that offer Universal Express Passes include:

• Loews Portofino Bay Hotel
• Loews Hard Rock Hotel
• Loews Royal Pacific Hotel

Buy Universal Express Passes

Guests can purchase Universal Express Passes for the day. These are, of course, extra to your park admission ticket. You can purchase these either online or at the park entrance gates. Just bear in mind there are two types of Express Passes: 

Universal Express Unlimited Pass - The Unlimited Pass allows unlimited access, meaning you can use the Express Pass line as often as you like without restriction. 

Universal Express Pass - The Express Pass is the entry-level add-on which allows guests to skip the line once at any participating attraction. 

With both types of passes, you can purchase a single-park or two-park pass. The latter is the more expensive, but you can use it at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure on the same day. 

At the time of writing, only Pteranodon Flyers (Universal's Islands of Adventure) & Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure (Universal's Islands of Adventure) are NOT available to Express Pass Guests.
