Florida has just broken a 36 Year old Record
The State has had various excessive heat warnings issued over the last couple of weeks
Central Florida is experiencing record-breaking heat, with Orlando having just endured its hottest week on record.
You're not alone if you've been struggling with the heat this summer. In fact, the week of 7th August to 13th has set a new record as the hottest seven-day period Orlando has ever experienced since records began back in 1892.
According to News 6, the average temperature during this period was 31.6C (88.9F), breaking the previous record of 87.4 degrees set in August 1987.
Feel like temperatures peaked at around 41C last week, affecting locals and tourists alike.
With this excessive heat continuing, Florida is also on track to have the hottest August on record.
