Magic Kingdom to Stay Open Until 1am for Selected Guests in Early January
Disney World has recently updated the Magic Kingdom park hours, which will interest select guests. On the 3rd of January, the park will remain open until 1 am instead of the previous closing time of 11 pm. This update is an extension of the regular hours at the park, which were recently extended from a 9 pm close to an 11 pm close. As a result, the Extended Evening Hours have also been extended, which means guests will now have more time to enjoy the park's attractions and entertainment.
Here's what the new schedule looks like:
- 3rd of January: Regular park hours extended from 9 am to 11 pm (previously 9 am to 9 pm)
- 3rd of January: Extended evening hours extended from 11 pm to 1 am (previously 9 pm to 11 pm)
It's worth noting that all other Extended Evening Hours at Magic Kingdom remain unchanged and will be from 9 am to 11 pm. However, depending on expected crowds, Disney may adjust the schedule in the coming weeks. We'll keep you updated on any park hours changes so you can plan your visit accordingly.
What is Extended Evening Hours?
Extended Evening Hours is a special benefit available exclusively for guests staying at Deluxe Disney World Hotels, Deluxe Villas, and other select hotels. This perk gives eligible guests the opportunity to stay in select parks later in the day than the “traditional” guests. Extended Evening Hours are only available on certain nights at specific parks, and the benefit provides 2 additional hours of park time after regular closing time. This benefit has replaced the evening Extra Magic Hours, which were discontinued in 2020.
