Brightline reveal Opening Timeline for its Central Florida Expansion

The service will connect Miami to Orlando International Airport (MCO)

Rail operator Brightline has said it plans to open the 170-mile expansion from Central Florida to Miami in the second quarter of this year.

The line connects Miami to Orlando, with stops at Aventura, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, and West Palm Beach is over 90% complete. In addition to the planned opening date, the rail operator revealed that Its Orlando Station is on target to be completed in March.

Recently, Universal Orlando Resort revealed that it's working with Sunrail and Brightline to open a new station at the Orange County Convention centre in time for Epic Universe's grand opening in 2025, offering quick and direct connections to the resort from the station.

In addition to the new station, plans are afoot to expand the line further to Tampa. However, nothing has been confirmed by the rail operator.

Brightline will offer a two-class "Smart" and "Premium" service. "Smart" customers can enjoy Complimentary onboard WiFi and Multiple power & USB outlets at each seat. Premium passengers can enjoy the pre-departure lounge experience with complimentary food and drinks, as well as being able to board the train first. Onboard the train and the features already offered to Smart Passengers. Premium guests will also be offered complimentary snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) throughout the journey and a wider seat.
