Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Now Closed for Extended Refurbishment

The Coaster is Undergoing Extended Maintenance for the Second Time in 2 Years

Disney's Hollywood Studios' popular attraction, Rock'  n' Roller Coaster, has been temporarily closed for routine maintenance. The refurbishment is expected to take quite some time, with the ride scheduled to reopen sometime in the summer.

Last year, the attraction underwent an extensive refurbishment over three months. During this time, the ride system was overhauled, and the sets were repainted to restore them to their former glory. The focus of the refurbishment in 2023 was primarily on the launch system. However, it is speculated that this year's work may concentrate on the end of the ride and brake runs.

There were rumours that the attraction would be rethemed last year, but the rumour mill is relatively quiet this year. When a representative from Disney was asked about the possibility of a retheme, they stated that the refurbishment was routine.
