Daily Housekeeping Returns to Select WDW Hotels

Housekeeping service has been reduced since the start of the COVID-19 Pandemic

In a week when Walt Disney World brought back several fan favourites, including 'Happily Ever After' and Complimentary Hotel Parking for Resort Guests, Disney has now brought back the Daily Housekeeping service for Deluxe Hotel Resorts from Yesterday. 

The housekeeping service has been reduced due to staff shortages and other smaller factors.

Moderate and Value resorts will also see an increase in housekeeping service. 

Here is the complete list of housekeeping changes that have taken effect from yesterday: 

  • Deluxe Resorts will receive now receive full housekeeping service every day.
  • Moderate & Value Resort Hotels will receive a full housekeeping service bi-daily.

Guests can opt out of housekeeping via the usual channels (Speaking to Hotel Reception / or by leaving a "Room Occupied" Sign on the door).

A full housekeeping service includes: 

  • Making the bed, 
  • Replacing towels and amenities,
  • Cleaning the bathroom, 
  • Emptying the Rubbish and recycling, 
  • Tidying the room by dusting, wiping counters, and vacuuming.
